Dr. Miller has over 30 years of experience in antimicrobial discovery and development. At Schering-Plough, he was a Presidential Fellow in Microbiology and Vice President Infectious Disease and Microbial Products Discovery. At Schering, Dr. Miller participated in discovery and development programs for aminoglycosides, everninomicins, florfenicols, macrolides, penems, and other antibacterials. His primary research interest has been in the epidemiology and molecular biology of aminoglycoside resistance mechanisms. Subsequent to Schering, Dr. Miller joined Microcide/Essential Therapeutics as Vice President for Research and Development where he was responsible for all antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral discovery programs.
