Formerly President, Chief Scientific Officer and Director, Pharmacopeia. Dr. Chabala is a founder and Director of Pharmacopeia. From June 1993 to 1997 he served as Pharmacopeia's Chief Scientific Officer. From 1991 to 1993 Dr. Chabala was at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, as Vice President of Discovery Chemistry. Prior to this he was at Merck & Company where he directed a variety of medicinal chemistry programs in human and animal health, rising in position to Executive Director of Basic Chemistry. He is co-inventor of Ivermectin, the largest selling parasiticide worldwide. Dr. Chabala received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
